Women's Tennis Ends Weekend With Win Over Rutgers

Princeton finished the weekend with a split in Jadwin Gym, defeating Rutgers 5-2 Saturday after taking on a challenge from Kentucky Friday afternoon.
The win puts Princeton at 5-4 on the season heading into a weekend away from competition before heading into the Blue Gray National Tennis Classic in Montgomery, Ala., in two weeks.
Rutgers took the doubles point, winning on court one in a tiebreaker to start the afternoon with a lead before Princeton won the first four singles contests to be decided to clinch the match. Caroline Joyce was the only Tiger to win in both doubles and singles, teaming with Dorothy Tang on court three to force the match on court one to be decisive for the match's first point before winning on court three in singles to provide the clincher.
