Fencing Set to Host National Squad Championships Sunday

The Princeton fencing teams will host the National Squad Championships beginning at 9 a.m. Sunday in Jadwin Gym.
Competing teams include Brandeis, Columbia, Incarnate Word, Johns Hopkins, NYU, Penn, Princeton, Sacred Heart, St. John's, Vassar and Yale. Brackets will be announced later in the week.
The event features teams competing in each weapon in a bracket format. Competition will get underway at 9 a.m. with finals beginning at 11 a.m. (men's foil and women's saber), 12:30 p.m. (women's épée, men's épée, women's foil) and 1:30 (men's saber).
There will also be dual matches following the weapon finals involving Brandeis, Columbia, Johns Hopkins, NYU, Penn, Princeton, Sacred Heart, St. John's and Yale.
Princeton has competed in the event in each of the last four years, and this is the first time it will be held at Princeton. A year ago, the Tiger women were first in foil and saber and third in épée, and the men took second in épée and saber and third in foil.

7:30 – Jadwin Gym opens
8:00 – Weapons Check (only masks, referees will check the rest on strip)
9:00 – Women's Épée 16, Men's Épée 16, Women's Foil 16, Men's Foil 8, Women's Saber 16 ,Men's Saber 16 AND 8
10:00 – Women's Épée 8, Men's Épée 8, Women's Foil 8, Men's Foil 4, Women's Saber 8
11:00 – Women's Épée 4, Men's Épée 4, Women's Foil Final and Bronze 8, Women's Foil 4, Men's Foil Final and Bronze, Men's Foil 5-8, Women's Saber 4, Men's Saber 4, Men's Saber 5-8
12:00 – Lunch
