Coach Billy Pate on the match: "This was a good win for our team against a quality SEC program. I have a lot of respect for Coach (Eric) Shore and his team as we've had some great matches over the years while I was at Alabama. I was a bit disappointed with our energy in doubles, but we had a better start in singles and had some great efforts in several spots. Diego (Vives) and Tom (Colautti) had great wins against outstanding players. We felt if we could have success in those positions we would have a great shot, so they really gave us a shot in the arm. It will be a challenge tomorrow against Alabama as they are very talented and deep. They've played a tough schedule thus far and are battle-tested. We'll need to play well." |
