Colgate Comes Back to Defeat Princeton 5-4 in Men's Hockey

PRINCETON, N.J. (2/5/16) - The Colgate men's hockey team rallied from a two-goal deficit to defeat Princeton 5-4 in men's hockey on Friday night at Hobey Baker Rink.
The Tigers grabbed a 3-1 lead in the first period with goals from freshman Alex Riche, sophomore Eric Robinson and junior Garrett Skrbich,

It was all special teams in the second period with a short-handed goal by Tylor Spink from brother Tyson to cut Colgate's deficit to one at 12:26.
Freshman Max Véronneau expanded the lead back to two, 4-2 with a power-play goal at 13:54 on a great pass from Mike Ambrosia, his second point of the game.

Adam Dauda responded with his own power-play goal with 1:33 left in the period to start a three-goal Colgate run. Tyson Spink tied it up at 4-4 at 1:12 of the third before Kevin Lough's first goal of the season proved to be the game winner at 5:19.
Princeton pulled Colton Phinney for the extra attacker but the Tigers wouldn't be able to net the equalizer. Phinney finished the game with 40 saves.
Charlie Finn stopped 28 shots in the win for the Raiders as they outshot the Tigers 45-32.
Princeton takes on No. 17 Cornell tomorrow at 7 p.m.
