Princeton is in a four-way tie for first place on the men's side and is one match out of first on the women's side after the first of two days at the Ivy League Round-Robins at Cornell.
The men's team opened with a 15-12 loss to Columbia before getting wins over Harvard 17-10 and Penn 15-12. Columbia, Harvard and Penn also enter Sunday at 2-1.
Foil Thomas Dudey and épées Wesley Johnson and Alex House co-lead the men's team with six wins apiece.
On the women's side, the Tigers opened with a 17-10 win over Columbia but then fell 16-11 to Harvard before bouncing back with a 17-10 win over Penn to end the day at 2-1 and stand a match behind Harvard at 3-0 and a win back of Columbia at 3-1.
Foil Ashley Tsue and épées Audrey Abend and Isabel Ford co-lead the team at 6-3 apiece.
The Tigers will fence Brown at 10 a.m. and Yale at 11:30 before the women take on Cornell at 1:45 p.m. to close out the event.
