No. 35 Texas won the doubles point and four singles matches to deal the Princeton women's tennis team a 5-2 defeat Tuesday afternoon in Austin.
The win was Texas' second this season over the Tigers, as the Longhorns beat Princeton 4-2 in the Tigers' last match at the Blue Gray National Tennis Classic in Montgomery, Ala., last month.
The Tigers got a straight-set win from Caroline Joyce on court five and a win from Sivan Krems in a tiebreak third set for Princeton's points.
The Tigers will play their second of three matches in Texas Thursday at 2 p.m. ET at the University of Houston.
