Women's Golf Finishes Third in Spring Opener at Pinehurst

The first-round standings remained the same after Saturday's second and final round at the Spring Training Intercollegiate at Pinehurst No. 8 in North Carolina, with the Princeton women's golf team placing third behind Harvard and Columbia.
The Crimson won the four-team event by 15 shots over Columbia and 25 over Princeton with local Sandhills Community College rounding out the field. Individually, the Crimson had the top three spots, with Anna Zhou winning at +5 with a two-shot margin over Anne Cheng.
Hana Ku and Amber Wang co-led Princeton at +13, tying for sixth overall. Princeton chopped 24 shots off its score from Friday, the best improvement among the four teams in the field.
With Princeton's first event of the spring season in the books, the Tigers will play next at the Georgetown Hoya Invitational April 4-5 in Maryland.
