Women's Tennis Opens Ivy Play With 5-2 Win Over Penn
March 26, 2016 | Women's Tennis
Back into the ITA rankings for the first time since mid-February, the 60th-ranked Princeton women's tennis team opened Ivy play with a 5-2 win over 67th-ranked Penn Saturday at the Lenz Tennis Center, Princeton's eighth straight win over the Quakers.
Princeton took the doubles point when Emily Hahn and Katrine Steffensen won the last match on court, taking second doubles in a tiebreak to put the Tigers ahead 1-0.
Princeton then took the first four singles matches to be decided with wins coming from Dorothy Tang, Steffensen, Amanda Muliawan and Nicole Kalhorn to clinch the win before the Quakers picked up
victories on courts three and four to narrow the final margin.
It's all Ivy from here on out for the Tigers, who will head to Brown and Yale Friday and Saturday as the league slate continues.
