Women's Golf Tops Penn to Win Brown Bear Match Play Tournament

In the team's final tournament before the Ivy League Championship begins next weekend in Connecticut, the Princeton women's golf team earned its third tournament win of the 2015-16 campaign Sunday in Rhode Island.
Following its 6.5-1.5 win over Brown Saturday, the Tigers got past Penn 4.5-3.5 to earn the Brown Bear Match Play title at the Carnegie Abbey Club in Portsmouth, R.I.
It's the first time since the 2008-09 season that Princeton has put together three tournament wins between the fall and the spring. Princeton also won the Lehigh Invitational in the fall and the Georgetown Hoya Invitational earlier this month.
In Sunday's final, the Tigers got wins from Alex Wong, Jordan Lippetz, Amanda Brown and Sydney Kersten.
Princeton will head back to New England for next week's Ivy League Championship, held at Stanwich Golf Club in Greenwich, Conn.
