Coach Billy Pate on the match: "It's always better to win the doubles point, though today it might've been helpful to lose that point and get a kick in the rear to have a sense of urgency. We had two match points for the doubles, but Brown played well in that position. We did a nice job of getting leads in most of the singles, particularly with Diego and Alex securing quick wins. Conference play is like a new seaosn, and you can really throw out records and who's a favorite or underdog. We have to come to play each time and earn success. Brown is a feisty, well-coaches team and they made us earn it today, as expected. We'll look foward to getting back out there tomorrow against Yale." |
