Women's Golf Set for Hoya Invitational Beginning Monday
April 03, 2016 | Women's Golf
In what will be the team's second-to-last tournament before the Ivy League Championship at the end of the month, the Princeton women's golf team will head to Georgetown's Hoya Invitational Monday and Tuesday.
Princeton will play in the event for the first time since 2011, when the Tigers tied for third. Princeton won team titles in 2007 and 2008 and individual titles in 1998 (Julia Allison), 2007 and 2008 (both from Susannah Aboff).
The tournament will be Princeton's second of the spring and first since a four-team event at Pinehurst Country Club last month.
Play will start at 9 a.m. both days, Monday for 36 holes and Tuesday for the final 18 at the par-72, 6,127-yard Members Club at Four Streams in Beallsville, Md. Joining Princeton and host Georgetown are Boston University, Marshall, Monmouth, Quinnipiac, Seton Hall, St. John's and Towson.
