Princeton will host an ITA Summer Circuit event this Saturday through Monday, July 25, bringing current and former collegiate and junior players to the Lenz Tennis Center to compete in singles and doubles in both men's and women's draws.
Draws will be available here beginning Friday. Princeton's event comes on the fifth of six weekends worth of Summer Circuit tournaments, wrapping up next weekend, during which colleges will host 51 tournaments in 24 states. Tournament winners will advance to the ITA Summer Nationals at Indiana University beginning August 13.
On the men's side, Princeton will have two incoming freshmen, Payton Holden and Davey Roberts, competing. Play will start each day at 8:30 a.m. with two or three rounds of singles (depending on byes) and one round of doubles Saturday, two rounds of singles and two rounds of doubles Sunday, and two rounds of singles and two rounds of doubles Monday. That adds up to a six- or seven-round draw, depending on byes, for singles and five rounds for doubles. Saturday's play will include a consolation round for any player who loses a first-round match.
