Video: Fencer Holmes Readies for Rio

Just a few weeks before she competes for Team USA in Rio, Princeton fencer Katharine Holmes sat down with GoPrincetonTigers.com to talk about achieving her dream to become an Olympian.
Holmes will compete in both the individual and team events at the Olympic Games, with the individual épée competition taking place August 6 and the team event happening on August 11. It'll be the second straight Olympics, and 13th overall, in which Princeton has been represented in the fencing competition, and four years ago Susannah Scanlan '14 and Maya Lawrence '02 helped the U.S. épée team to a bronze medal in London.
In her first three years competing at Princeton, Holmes was a three-time All-America and three-time All-Ivy League honoree, placing third at the NCAA Championships as a rookie in 2012. She will return for her senior season at Princeton in 2016-17.
