Hole-In-One Lifts Quinn to Sixth at Windon Memorial

Sophomore Evan Quinn posted the Princeton men's golf team's second hole-in-one in as many tournaments, helping him tie for sixth as play was suspended due to darkness Sunday at the Windon Memorial at Evanston Golf Club in Skokie, Ill.
Twenty-one of the 84 players were still on the course, including Quinn and three more of the five Tigers, when play was halted. They'll pick up again at 7:30 a.m. CT/8:30 a.m. ET Monday before beginning the final round in a 10 a.m. shotgun start.
Indiana's Jake Brown and Iowa State's Lachlan Barker co-lead at -3 with a trio of players at -2 and Quinn with five other players at -1. Penn State leads the 15-team field at -3, two strokes ahead of Miami (Ohio) and Iowa with Princeton in sixth at +6.
Rookie Jake Mayer, who had an ace in last week's tournament at Yale, had an eagle on the par-5 sixth hole in the first round, and Quinn's hole-in-one came on the par-3 fourth hole in round two. Freshman Sam Clayman turned in an eagle on the par-5 sixth in the second round.
