SCOUTING THE HUSKIES
St. Cloud is No. 1 in the nation with a 12-2-1 record. The Huskies only two losses were to defending national champion and No. 2 ranked Denver in Colorado in mid-November. Defenseman Jimmy Schuldt leads the team in scoring with 19 points on 14 assists and five goals. He's the top scoring defender in the nation and ranked 16th nationally in points per game overall. Junior Robby Jackson has scored a team-high seven goals and 10 helpers, while junior Mikey Eyssimont (LOS) and Ryan Poehling (MTL) chip in 16 points apiece. Averaging 4.27 goals per game, the Huskies have the top scoring offense and the fourth-best scoring defense, limiting teams to 2.07 gpg. Like the Tigers, the Huskies have a solid power play, converting on 25.7 percent of its chances to rank sixth nationally.
