Women's Golf Team to Head to California to Open Spring Season

Spring break will take the Princeton women's golf team to California to open the 2017 spring season for a three-round tournament hosted by Sacramento State beginning Monday.
The par-72 Sierra View Country Club in Roseville, Calif., will host the Tigers, Cal State Fullerton, Cal State Northridge, Idaho State, Nevada, Northern Arizona, Northern Colorado, North Dakota, South Dakota State, Utah Valley and Weber State along with host Sacramento State.Â
Monday's first tee times are set for 7:45 a.m. PT/10:45 a.m. ET with two rounds that day and one round Tuesday with the first tee times at 8 a.m. PT/11 a.m. ET.Â
Jordan Lippetz, Hana Ku, Amber Wang, Maya Walton and Annie Kong will be representing the Tigers while Alison Chang, Tiana Lau, Tenley Shield and Amanda Brown play as individuals.
Lippetz had the top individual finish of the fall, tying for fifth at the Princeton Invitational, while the team's best outcome was placing second at Michigan State's Mary Fossum Invitational. Ku and Lippetz led or co-led the team twice during the fall.
The Sacramento State Invitational is the first of three on the spring for the team before the Ivy League Tournament heads to Florida for the first time beginning April 21. Speaking of Florida, that's where the Tigers will head for their next tournament after Sacramento, competing in a tournament Harvard is hosting in Osprey, Fla., between Tampa and Fort Myers starting April 1.
