Grant, Nori Earn Ivy League Weekly Awards
March 20, 2017 | Softball
Sophomore Kaylee Grant and senior Erica Nori have earned Ivy League weekly honors following the Tigers' second weekend of the season, the Ivy League office has announced.
Grant earned Ivy League Player of the Week recognition after hitting .600 with an on-base percentage of .818 over the team's four games, going 3 for 5 with a home run, three runs batted in, two walks and four hit-by-pitches.
Nori tossed the first Princeton no-hitter since 2006 and the program's first seven-inning no-hitter since 2005, striking out a career-high seven and walking three against North Dakota.Â
The awards are Princeton's first in either category this season, though Megan Donahey was named Ivy Rookie of the Week March 6. They're also the first such awards for Grant and Nori in their careers.
Princeton will continue its spring trip this week, facing Pacific, Saint Mary's and San Jose State in doubleheaders Tuesday through Thursday before returning to the East Coast for games at Long Island over the weekend.
