Welcome to April, where the goal is to play into May.
The Princeton men's lacrosse team has six games in the month of April, four of which are Ivy League games, beginning with the April Fools Day matchup against Brown.
By the time the month ends, Princeton will either be done with the 2017 season or playing in the Ivy League tournament, with its collective eyes on th NCAAs beyond that.
To get there, every game this month is big, especially the league ones.
Princeton won't play another league game for two weeks after this, as there will be trips to Stony Brook and Lehigh before the April 15 game at Dartmouth. The regular season will end with a home game against Harvard and a trip to Cornell.
The Ivy season is still in its early stages. There are two unbeatens - Yale (2-0) and Brown (1-0), followed by 1-1 Princeton, Penn and Harvard, 0-1 Dartmouth and 0-2 Cornell.
Of course, at this point, all seven teams are thinking the same thing as April arrives - play into Ma

Princeton leads the all-time series with Brown 31-24, though the Bears have won the last three.
The teams did not play until the 1964 season, which was 11 years after the first Princeton-Dartmouth game, more than 40 years after the first games for Princeton against both Cornell and Penn and more than 80 years after the first Princeton games against Harvard and Yale.
*Â Â Â Â *Â Â Â Â *
Princeton held Brown's Dylan Molloy without a goal (though he had two assists) in the last meeting between the two teams on Sherrerd Field, in 2015.
Molloy made up for it last year in Providence, when he had six goals and five assists in the Bears' 19-8 win. His 11 points are the second-most he's had in a game, behind the 13 he had against Michigan in 2015.
Molloy, the reigning Tewaaraton Trophy winner, has 178 career goals. The top four career scorers on Princeton's team - Gavin McBride, Zach Currier, Austin Sims, Riley Thompson - have combined for 184 career goals.
*Â Â Â Â *Â Â Â Â *
Gavin McBride went over the 100-point mark for his career in last week's game against Yale. McBride tied his career high with five goals and had a new career high with seven points.
McBride now has 106 career points, 29th-best all-time at Princeton.
The next 100-point scorer in Princeton history figures to be Zach Currier, who enters the game against Brown with 95 career points (44G, 51A).
*Â Â Â Â *Â Â Â Â *
Gavin McBride has scored five goals in back-to-back games. The last Princeton player who had at least five goals in consecutive games?
That would be Austin Sims, who had six in back-to-back games earlier this year (against Johns Hopkins and Quinnipiac).
*Â Â Â Â *Â Â Â Â *
Princeton is ranked 15th by the media and 17 by the coaches this week.
*Â Â Â Â *Â Â Â Â *
Tyler Blaisdell ranked fifth in the Ivy League in save percentage, saves per game and goals-against average a year ago.
Blaisdell leads the Ivy League in all three categories this year.
*Â Â Â Â *Â Â Â Â *
Princeton and Brown are two of the best shooting teams in the country.
The Bears enter the game ranked eight in Division I with a team shooting percentage of .338. Princeton is No.1 in the country, at .387.
*Â Â Â Â *Â Â Â Â *

The average number of goals scored between the two teams combined in their last 13 meetings is 16.38.
The losing team has averaged 5.97 goals in those 13 games.
In fact, only three times in the last 34 years have both teams reached double figures in goals in a Princeton-Brown game: 1991, 2002, 2014.
*Â Â Â Â *Â Â Â Â *
Princeton is ranked in the top six in Division I in six different statistical categories: shooting percentage (first), saves per game (second), points per game (fourth), assists per game (fourth), scoring offense (fifth) and man-up offense (sixth).

*Â Â Â Â *Â Â Â Â *
Michael Sowers leads Princeton with 23 assists and 42 points.
He is third all-time among Princeton freshman in assists and points in a season, trailing only Kevin Lowe (43A, 55Pts) and Ryan Boyle (37A, 53Pts).
*Â Â Â Â *Â Â Â Â *
