Posting a first-round 296, the Princeton women's golf team stands in first place at the Ivy League Championship at the Orange Tree Golf Club in Orlando, Fla.
The score was Princeton's best at the Ivy League Championship since a final-round 288 in 2011, and it's good enough to lead Harvard by six strokes heading into Saturday's second round.
Sophomore Amber Wang carded a 2-under 70 to lead the field by two strokes over Harvard's Michelle Xie as the top four Tigers ended the day in the tournament's top 10.
Princeton will begin teeing off at 10:48 a.m. Saturday for the second round before the tournament wraps with Sunday's final round.
