Cornell Defeats Women's Tennis Team in First Ivy Home Match

Sivan Krems had a win at third singles, but Cornell won the rest of the points as the Princeton women's tennis team fell to the Big Red 6-1 Friday afternoon in Jadwin Gym.
The Tigers fell to 1-1 on the season with the loss after last weekend's win at Penn. Princeton will head to Columbia for Sunday's 1 p.m. match to wrap the weekend.
After Cornell took the first two doubles matches to end, claiming the doubles point, the Big Red built a 3-0 lead with wins at second and fifth singles before Krems came through with her straight set win at third. Cornell, though, took the last three matches left on court for the 6-1 final.
Order of finish: Doubles: 2, 1; Singles: 2, 5, 3, 6, 1, 4
