Men's Water Polo Announces Incoming Class of 2021

PRINCETON, N.J. – The Princeton men's water polo team has released its incoming Class of 2021.
This group of four, all from California, will look to help the Tigers that finished third at the Northeast Water Polo Conference Tournament and recorded 18 wins including six from California squads in 2016.
Miles Cole
San Marcos High School
High School: Two-time Channel League first-team and CIF Division II second team … School was Channel League Champions in 2014 and 2015 … CIF Division I Swim Finalist.
Academic: USA Water Polo Outstanding Academic All-American … California Scholarship Federation … Four-time National Honor Society.
Club: Santa Barbara Premier Club … Five-year starter … Finalist at the National Club Championships … Fourth place at the Junior Olympics in 2013 and 2015.
ODP/National Team: Part of the Development, Cadet and Youth National Squads from 2012-15 … USA National Academy and National League Red Teams in 2015 … Starter for the silver medal team at the UANA Youth Pan-Am Games in Jamica.
Head coach Luis Nicolao about Cole: "Miles comes from one of the top club teams in the country and has played on the highest of levels participating in the Academy Training the last two years. He will also solidify the two-meter for us on both ends of the pool."
Casey Conrad
Acalanes High School
High School: Two-time All-American … 2016 season included the Parent's Choice Award along with All-NCS First Team, All-DFAL and All-Nor-Cal Second Team accolades … 2015 campaign registered All-NCS Second Team, All-DFAL First Team and All-East Bay Second Team honors … Was All-DFAL First Team and team MVP as a swimmer in 2016 … Outstanding Athletic Achievement as a swimmer during junior year.
Academics: USA Water Polo Academic All-American in 2015-16 … AP Scholar with Honor Award … Four-time NCS Scholar Athlete … California Scholarship Federaton Life Member.
Club: Lamorinda Water Polo Club … 2015 Kap-7 Runner Up … LMYA Swim Team … Was named Outstanding A Swimmer eight times (2007-13, 2016).
ODP/National Team: 2014-15 Olympic Development Program Pacific Zone First Team … 2014 National Selection Camp.
Nicolao on Conrad: "Casey comes in as a true utility with potential to play every field position in the pool. He played for one of the most successful club teams and will bring that attitude to the East Coast."
Alec Mendelsohn
Harvard-Westlake School
High School: Daily News All-Area second team in 2016 … Elite Eight Tournament Champion during senior season … 2016 CIF SS Semifinalist … CIF SS Runner-up in 2015 … Was part of three straight Mission League championships (2013-15) … Took home two CIF SS titles in 2013 and 2014 … Squad went undefeated in 2014, going 29-0.
Academic: Three-time USA Water Polo Outstandign Academic All-American honoree … Honor Roll from 2014-17 … Harvard-Westlake Chapter of National Honor Society and Cum Laude.
Club: L.A. Premier Water Polo … USA Water Polo First Team All-American … Won two bronze medals at the Junior Olympics (2013, 2016) … Two-time U-18 Junior Olympics Silver Medalist (2014-15) … Ironman Water Polo League Champion in 2013 and 2016.
ODP/National: Selected to the U.S. Development National Team in 2013.
Nicolao on Mendelsohn: Alec is a two-meter defender that will help contain other strong two-meter players. He played at one of the best high schools in the country and guarded big time players including Olympians in a normal practice and will be asked to do the same at Princeton.

Nicolao on Ueberroth: Will is a left-handed thrower that will bring a much-needed dimension to our man-up situations and offensive structure. His high school is always in the running for D-I CIFSS title so he has big game experience that will help Princeton.
