Reynolds Earns CoSIDA Academic All-District Honor

Senior outfielder Marissa Reynolds has been voted to the CoSIDA Academic All-District 2 softball team, the organization announced Thursday after a vote by the district's athletic communications members.
District 2 includes Pennsylvania, New Jersey, West Virginia, Maryland, Delaware and Washington, D.C. Reynolds is the first Princeton softball honoree since another Washingtonian STEM major, computer science alumna Candy Button '13, in 2013. Reynolds is a mechanical and aerospace engineering major.
Reynolds leads the Ivy League in batting average at .450 and holds several national top-10 statistical rankings, entering the week fourth in the nation in doubles per game at 0.41, sixth in slugging percentage at .890, seventh in on-base percentage at .563 and eighth in batting average. She's also 15th in the nation in total doubles at 16.Â
Reynolds and the Tigers won the Ivy South division and will host Harvard Saturday in the Ivy League Championship Series, the winner of which will win both the Ivy League championship and the Ivy's automatic bid to the NCAA tournament.
