2017-18 Princeton Hockey Schedule
The Princeton men's hockey team opens the 2017-18 season on Sunday, Oct. 29 when it hosts Holy Cross. The Crusaders are one of three non-conference teams that will visit Hobey Baker Rink during the upcoming year. Also coming to town is Bemidji State on Nov. 22 & 24 and St. Cloud on Dec. 29 & 30.Â
Princeton is 4-1 in the all-time series with Holy Cross, and is seeking revenge for a 4-3 loss in Worcester from 2015-16, with the game winner being scoring in the final 53 seconds. The Tigers look to prove that a sweep of No. 10 Bemidji State last year was not a fluke. Princeton took down the Beavers 4-1 and 3-1 in late November that signaled the team's turnaround. Princeton and St. Cloud have met just four times previously, the last time in 2004-05. The Huskies 16-19-1 season was ended by North Dakota in the conference quarterfinals.
Princeton's will travel to Arizona State for a pair of games on Dec. 8 & 9. The Sun Devils went 10-19-3 in its second varsity season last year and split series with ECAC squads Colgate, Quinnipiac and Rensselaer.
The ECAC Hockey schedule begins with Princeton hosting Colgate and Cornell on Nov. 3 & 4. Other conference action at Hobey Baker Rink includes: Yale/Brown (Nov. 17-18), Quinnipiac (Nov. 28), Dartmouth/Harvard (Dec. 1-2), St. Lawrence/Clarkson (Feb. 2-3), RPI/Union (Feb. 16-17).
