Sunday Update: Ivy League Scenarios Heading into Final Weekend

With Penn's win over Brown Sunday, all the results from Ivy League play heading into the final weekend are in, and there's only one game that factors into the chase for the Ivy title and the NCAA automatic bid: Penn at Princeton, Saturday, Nov. 3, 7 p.m.

Penn has 16 points and Princeton has 13, and with only one game left, no other team can get to 16 points aside from those two. Here's how each of the three possible scenarios would play out:

A Princeton win over Penn:
Princeton and Penn would each have 16 points. The teams would be Ivy League co-champions, but Princeton would own the league's NCAA automatic bid thanks to the win over Penn.

Princeton and Penn tie, or Penn defeats Princeton:
Penn would be the outright Ivy champion with 17 or 19 points, a number no other team could reach, and would hold the NCAA automatic bid.

The winner of the game, or in the case of a tie, Penn, would know it's in the NCAA tournament and would await the NCAA selection show, set for Monday, Nov. 5 at 4:30 p.m. ET on NCAA.com.
