High-Octane Offense Powers No. 19 Princeton Past Dartmouth, 7-1

Senior defenseman Josh Teves matched his career high of three assists and is now the second-highest scoring defenseman in Princeton history with 69 points. Only Cliff Abrecht has more, 101 assists, from 1982-86.
Other defensemen getting in on the action was Derek Topatigh with his first two-goal game, while six other skaters had one point apiece.
Sophomore Ryan Ferland made 32 saves in the win before senior Austin Shaw came in to finish off the game with four stops.
Dartmouth netminder Justin Ferguson made 20 saves and allowed seven in his first career appearance.
Princeton's power play was 2 for 3, scoring twice during a five-minute major in the first period. Dartmouth was 1 for 2 on the power play.
With two goals tonight Kuffner moves into eighth place, along with Hank Bothfeld '53, on Princeton's all-time goal scoring list with 55 goals as he now has 11 points. Véronneau is two assists away from taking sixth place in all-time assists as he has 71 to his name and 110 points overall.
Riche with one goal and three assists tonight is now second in the NCAA in points per game, averaging 2.50. Teves is fourth, Véronneau and Kuffner tied for 18th.
Princeton will take on Harvard, tomorrow evening at 7 p.m., at the Bright-Landry Center. The Crimson are 0-2 on the season after suffering a 5-3 loss to Quinnipiac this evening.
