He led the nation's defensemen in scoring a year ago with 33 points in 31 games. Sophomore Ryan Ferland made 30 saves on 34 shots on Friday. Last year he finished with a .912 save percentage and a 2.91 GAA and was named the ECAC Hockey Tournament MVP. The Tigers power play, after finishing first last year at 27.7 percent, was 1 of 5 at Penn State. The penalty kill was a perfect 4 for 4.

It's top line of Shane Sellar, Will Graber and Quin Foreman combined for four of the team's seven goals and eight total points. Sellar scored twice and added one assist while Graber and Drew O'Connor had a goal and two assists each. He made 37 saves on 41 shots. The power play went 2 for 5 (40%), while the penalty kill was 2 of 7 (28.6%).

Princeton swept the series last year, winning 9-2 at Hobey Baker Rink and 6-3 at Thompson Arena. The victories were the first for the Tigers since the 2013-14 season. Since 1907, Dartmouth has a 103-88-15 edge in the series. Jackson Cressey has the best points per game average versus the Big Green with six (2-4) in four games. Freshman Jack Drury chipped in three assists in his first career game. Lewis Zerter-Gossage who finished second on the team in scoring last year was held without a point. Senior Michael Lackey started in goal and allowed seven on 27 shots for a .741 save percentage and a 7.04 GAA. He was the back up a year ago, to Merrick Madsen, and had an .899 save percentage and a 2.72 in 10 appearances.
