2018-19 Schedule
Two trips to Florida and one to Georgia are on the spring schedule for the two-time defending Ivy champion Princeton women's golf team before the Tigers wrap up the regular season with two in-state events in April.
Following a fall season that saw Princeton win two of its four events, post another top-three finish and a top-10 finish, the Tigers will resume play Feb. 7-8 at the Ball State-hosted Sunshine Match Play event at Dade City, Florida's Lake Jovita Golf and Country Club.
Princeton will return to competition in March with an event at the Forest Hills Golf Club in Augusta, Ga., with the Valspar Augusta Invitational hosted by the Augusta Golf Association March 16-17.Â
The Harvard Invitational will return the Tigers to Florida on the final weekend of March at Orange County National in Orlando. It'll be the third straight year that Princeton has competed in a Harvard-hosted event in Florida, and two years ago, Princeton won the event at The Oaks Club in Osprey, Fla.
The following weekend, April 6-7, Princeton will compete in New Jersey at the Columbia co-hosted Match Madness event back at Fox Hollow in Branchburg, N.J. Princeton went 2-0 in the event last spring, defeating Columbia and Seton Hall.Â
Princeton will wrap the regular season close to home for the Ivy League Championships, held this year at The Ridge at Back Brook in Ringoes, N.J., just about a half-hour northwest of Princeton, April 19-21. There, the Tigers will look to become only the second team in Ivy League history to win at least three straight championships, along with Harvard from 2011-15.Â
In the fall season, Princeton won the Towson Invitational and the Brown Bear Fall Invitational. Junior Maya Walton wion medalist honors at the Towson event, led Princeton with a fifth-place finish at the Old Dominion Invitational, and co-led the team with rookie Emma Zhao at the Brown event with a second-place finish. Zhao also led Princeton by finishing runner-up at the Princeton Invite.Â
