VIDEO: Captain, Trailblazer, Standard-Setter — Schleifer Looks For More History In Cleveland

Before Jonathan Schleifer put on the Orange and Black wrestling singlet for the first time, Princeton had never had an Ivy League Rookie of the Year in the sport. The Tigers had never sent a wrestler to the finals at the prestigious Midlands Championships (much less do it twice). They had never sent the same guy to the NCAA Championships four straight years.

That was before. Schleifer has helped raise the standard of Princeton Wrestling over a memorable four-year career, which will end this weekend in the most fitting place possible, the NCAA Wrestling Championships. He heads to Cleveland looking for an All-American honor and a national championship to punctuate what has already been a trailblazing four years for both himself and the program, and as you will hear in the video above, his influence will be felt by Princeton's best young wrestlers for years to come.
