Eye on the Tigers
Ranked No. 14 in the latest IWLCA poll, Princeton is 3-1 on the season and most recently won its opening Ivy League contest at Brown. Offensively, freshman Kyla Sears has scored 16 goals and adds four assists for 20 points. Sophomore Tess D'Orsi has eight goals and four assists, while junior Kathryn Hallett has 10 goals and one assist. Senior Ellie McNulty and freshman Marge Donovan are the best around the center circle with 20 and 18 draw controls, respectively. Junior defender Alex Argo has a team-high seven caused turnovers and team-high eight ground balls. Senior Mary Kate McDonough has started in all four games and has a .456 save percentage and a 10.63 goals against average.
The Series
Princeton holds a 10-4 advantage in the series with Loyola, which dates back to 1989. The Tigers have won the last three meetings, but all have been decided by just one or two goals.
Scouting the Greyhounds
Loyola is 2-2 on the season and ranked No. 16 in the latest IWLCA poll. The team has played a tough schedule opening with losses to Johns Hopkins and Florida before a win over Penn State and then a three-overtime thriller victory against Towson on Wednesday night. Five players have the ability to score with junior Taylor VanThof and senior Frankie Kamely with 11 each. Freshman Livy Rosenzweig has 10 goals and six assists to sit atop the scoring column while junior Hannah Powers has 15 points and senior Hannah Savage has 12. Rosenzweig and Van Thof are the team leaders in draws, winning more than 20 apiece. Defenders Lindsey Ehrhardt and Kristen Yanchoris have the most caused turnovers. Junior Kady Glynn has started in goal in all four games and has a .418 save percentage and a 15.51 GAA.
