April 25, 2018 | Women's Golf
The back-to-back Ivy League champion Princeton women's golf team will compete at the NCAA West Regional hosted by Stanford at TPC Harding Park in San Francisco, Calif., the Tigers learned Wednesday afternoon on the Golf Channel.Â
It's the fifth time that Princeton has sent a full team to the NCAA regional round, along with 2001, 2004, 2005 and 2017.
Regional competition will run May 7-9 with one round each day, and 18 teams along with six individuals not on those teams will compete at each regional. The low six teams and three players not on those teams will advance to the finals, which will be held May 18-23 at Karsten Creek Golf Club, hosted by Oklahoma State.
The NCAA regional trip follows Princeton's sixth Ivy League championship, along with 1999, 2001, 2004, 2005 and 2017. Earlier Wednesday, sophomore Maya Walton was named Ivy League Player of the Year while being named first-team All-Ivy along with freshman Anabelle Chang. Junior Amber Wang was named second-team All-Ivy.
