Matt Nelson Signs with Les Rapaces

Matt Nelson '18 has signed a contract to play with Les Rapaces for the upcoming 2018-19 season. Les Rapaces is a member of the Ligue Magnus, located in Gap in Southeastern France.

During his career at Princeton, Nelson played in 123 games on defense. He scored six goals and 15 assists. This season as Princeton won the ECAC Championship, Nelson collected 11 points with three goals and eight assists and blocked 43 shots. His final collegiate points came during his last appearance, scoring a goal and an assist in Princeton's loss to No. 5 Ohio State in the NCAA regional semifinal.

Les Rapaces (translated to The Raptors) has won two of the four most recent Ligue Magnus championships, in 2017 and 2015. This season, the team finished third in the league - the top men's division in France.
