Hat Trick at Yale Earns Asom Ivy Player of the Week Award, National Recognition

For the second time this season and the fourth time in her career, Princeton senior Mimi Asom is the Ivy League Player of the Week.Â
Asom hammered home a hat trick in the Tigers' 3-0 win at Yale Saturday, opening Ivy play with three points before coming home this Saturday to meet Dartmouth.
Asom was also named to Top Drawer Soccer's national Team of the Week.
With the three goals, Asom became just the fourth player in program history to score 40 in her career, joining Linda DeBoer '86 (41), Esmeralda Negron '05 (47) and Tyler Lussi '17 (53). It was the second hat trick of her career along with one against Cornell in 2016.
The Tigers' game against Dartmouth will be streamed on ESPN+ at 4 p.m. Admission is free.
