McSherry Drafted by New York Red Bulls

Princeton's Sean McSherry was selected by the New York Red Bulls as the 78th overall pick in the Major League Soccer (MLS) Superdraft on Monday, Jan. 14.
McSherry was chosen as the sixth pick in round 4. He is the fifth Tiger in the last five years to be drafted, and 11th all time.
Last week at the MLS Combine in Orlando, McSherry was in the top 10 in two of the performances tests. He was sixth in the 30-meter dash at 3.96 and was sixth in the agility (5-10-5 shuttle run) at 4.05.
A first-team All-Ivy League and all-regional selection, McSherry captained the Tigers to the Ivy League title and NCAA Tournament bid this season. He led the team in scoring with four goals and four assists for 12 points. He collected half of his points during Ivy League play with a goal at Columbia, an assist against Yale and a goal and an assist versus Cornell. McSherry had his first three-point game of the season in a 2-0 win at Delaware, scored in a win over Temple and had an assist at Bradley and Rider.
McSherry finished his Princeton career with 23 points (7 goals, 9 assists) in 47 games.
