Seniors Alex Colón and Caroline Taber and recent grad Riley Wilkinson '19 have been named to the NFCA's Easton/NFCA All-America Scholar-Athlete list, the coaches' association announced Wednesday.
An ecology and evolutionary biology major, Colón's NFCA honor is her third in her three years as a Tiger. In 2019, Colón played in a career-high 32 games, also setting career bests in hits (18), runs (seven) and RBI (10) while splitting time between catching, playing third base and serving as the designated player. She had five multi-hit games last season, going 3 for 4 with two runs driven in against Brown on April 6.
Taber's honor is also her third in as many opportunities. The molecular biology major made pitching appearances in five games last season, going without an earned run allowed in any of them.Â
Wilkinson, who majored in ecology and evolutionary biology, pitched in a career-high 25 games last season, returning from a 2018 season lost to injury. The save she picked up against Butler on March 16 was the ninth of her career, extending her Princeton career record.
