Shvets, Howard Advance to Quarterfinals at ITA Regionals

Princeton sophomore Brianna Shvets and rookie Zoe Howard are on to the quarterfinals at the ITA Northeast Regional at Army West Point after a win Sunday.
Shvets, seeded in the second four, will face the top seed in Monday's 10 a.m. quarterfinals in Yale's Samantha Martinelli, ranked 52nd nationally by the ITA. Howard will take on Syracuse's Sofya Golubovskaya, ranked 81st in the nation and seeded second in the draw.
Princeton saw its run end in the doubles draw in the quarterfinals, with Shvets and Grace Joyce, and Howard and Clare McKee each coming within one to two points of their Yale opponents before both Bulldog pairs advanced.
