Kong Leads Princeton as Tigers Close Fall Season at Yale
October 06, 2019 | Women's Golf
Tiffany Kong finished as the top Tiger as the Princeton women's tennis team closed its fall season Sunday at the Yale Fall Intercollegiate in New Haven.
With Kong leading Princeton to close the fall's final event, it makes three tournaments in the fall season's four that a freshman has led the team at the close of an event. Grace Ni led Princeton at the Mary Fossum Invitational and the Princeton Invitational after senior Maya Walton led the team at the season-opening William & Mary Fall Invitational.
Charlotte surged on the final day with a 280, the lowest round of the tournament by any team, to overtake host Yale, which entered the day leading, and win at +11, four strokes in front of the University of Stirling from Scotland and five in front of Yale.
Yale's Ami Gianchandani turned in a final-round 68 to win medalist honors at -7, four strokes in front of Harvard's Anina Ku.
