Holden, Seggerman Advance in ITA All-Americas Main Draw

Payton Holden and Ryan Seggerman, the nation's 15th-ranked duo by the ITA, moved on to the round of 16 in Wednesday's main-draw opener at the ITA All-American Championships in Tulsa, Okla.

Holden and Seggerman beat Northwestern's Simen Bratholm and Nick Brookes, ranked 10th in the nation, 4-6, 6-3, (10-5) to move on to face South Alabama's 37th-ranked Loic Cloes and Clement Marzol at 2:30 p.m. CT/3:30 p.m. ET Thursday.

Bratholm and Brookes are the fifth ITA-ranked pair that Holden and Seggerman have defeated as a duo, but not the highest-ranked opponent in that group. Holden and Seggerman beat Dartmouth's Charlie Broom and David Horneffer last spring when the Big Green pair were ranked seventh nationally.
