Women's Tennis Team Earns Top Seed in ECAC Championship
February 05, 2019 | Women's Tennis
Yale will host the Princeton women's tennis team and the rest of the ECAC Championship this weekend with the Tigers as the tournament's top seed.
Princeton will open against eighth-seeded Cornell Friday at 8 a.m. with a semifinal or consolation match Saturday against either fourth-seeded Brown or fifth-seeded Dartmouth. The other side of the bracket has second-seeded Columbia against seventh-seeded Yale and third-seeded Harvard against sixth-seeded Penn.
The bracket is available here.
Princeton stands at 3-2 on the new dual-match season with both losses coming to two of the nation's top three teams in North Carolina and Stanford. The Tigers will enter as the defending ECAC champion after completing wins over Harvard, Brown and Dartmouth to claim last year's title in Jadwin. Four of Princeton's six doubles players and four of six singles players from that lineup have competed for the Tigers so far this spring.
