Clayman Leads Princeton as Mission Inn Tournament Closes

Sam Clayman finished as the top Tiger at the Mission Inn Spring Spectacular at the Mission Inn Resort and Club in Howey-in-the-Hills, Fla., as the tournament came to a close Sunday for the Princeton men's golf team.
Princeton finished 11th in the 18-team field at +34. Kansas State won at -16, 13 strokes in front of Central Florida. KSU's Jeremy Gandon won medalist honors at -8, two strokes in front of a pair of UCF players in Bobby Bai and Kyler Tate.
The Tigers had their best round of the weekend Sunday, carding a 290 after shooting 304 in each of Saturday's two rounds. Of the eight Tigers competing in the event, seven had their best round of the weekend Sunday, none better than Jake Mayer's 2-under 70. Clayman shot a 1-under 71 Sunday to finish as the top Tiger at +6, tied for 28th overall.
Princeton will compete again in three weekends when it hosts the Princeton Invitational at Springdale Golf Club April 6-7.
