Forget Captures ECAC Hockey Goalie of the Week
March 04, 2019 | Men's Ice Hockey
Princeton freshman Jeremie Forget was named the ECAC Hockey Goalie of the Week, it was announced by the league office this afternoon.
Forget went 2-0 as Princeton picked up 4 points on the road to jump two places in the standings. They were just his second and third starts of the season.
On Friday at Yale he stopped 30 shots and made 32 saves at Brown including one on a penalty shot in the second period against Chris Berger. It was the first time a Princeton goaltender has stopped a penalty shot since Dec. 2016. He had the best save percentage in the league this weekend at .954 with 62 total saves and had a 1.50 goals against average allowing just three goals, two of which were power-play goals.
As the No. 9 seed in the ECAC Tournament, Princeton faces No. 8 Brown in the first-round series this weekend at Meehan Auditorium.
