Alarie To Represent USA Basketball At FIBA 3x3 Women’s Series Stop In China

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Bella Alarie is one of four athletes who will represent the United States at the inaugural FIBA 3x3 Women's Series stop from May 31-June 1 in Chendgu, China.
Alarie will be joined by Charli Collier (Texas), Aleah Goodman (Oregon State) and Christyn Williams (Connecticut.).
The two-time Ivy League Player of the Year recently participated in the 2019 Red Bull USA Basketball 3x3 Nationals at the Las Vegas Downtown Events Center, helping her squad reach the semifinals.
Up to 12 events in this 3x3 series are expected to take place this year from May to September and will be announced throughout the season on the official website https://ws.fiba3x3.com.
Also competing in the Chengdu event are 3x3 national teams from Australia, host China, France, Japan, Mongolia, Netherlands and Ukraine.
The eight teams have been split into two groups of four for preliminary round play, and the USA on May 31 will open against France (4:30 a.m.), before facing Australia (6 a.m.) and Mongolia (7:30 a.m.). The medal round will take place June 1, and teams will be seeded based on preliminary round standings. The No. 1 team from each pool will earn a bye to the semifinals. The semifinal play-in games will feature A2 versus B3 and B2 will take on A3. The gold medal game will cap off the day's games.
