Newly a Princeton graduate, Princeton golf alumna Amanda Brown '19 received the Princeton School of Engineering and Applied Science's George J. Mueller Award, given to a senior engineering major who best combines academic and athletic performance, during the school's Class Day ceremony on Monday, June 3.
Brown, an operations research and financial engineering major, was a part of two Ivy League championship teams over the course of her career.Â
From the School of Engineering and Applied Science's announcement of the honor:Â
Coach Erika DeSanty said Brown, who served as co-captain, was "one of the most influential forces behind the quality of the Princeton golf experience." For her senior thesis, she designed optimal learning and control strategies for diabetes patients to administer insulin over the course of a day. Brown, of Trabuco Canyon, Calif., will pursue a masters degree in management science and engineering at Stanford University.
