Princeton chose Washington as its destination when the ITA Kick-Off Weekend Draft was held Wednesday. Princeton, ranked No. 33 at season's end will open against Washington, Saturday, Jan. 25 at 2 p.m. PT before facing either Kentucky or USC at 11 a.m. PT or 2 p.m. PT Sunday, Jan. 26.
After Princeton won its fifth Ivy League title in the last six years this spring, the NCAA tournament draw sent the Tigers to Seattle for the NCAA regional. There Princeton won an NCAA tournament match for the second time in program history, defeating No. 27 Northwestern to advance to face host Washington.
Princeton competed in the ITA Kick-Off Weekend to open the 2019 season, defeating Michigan State before falling to host North Carolina.
The Tigers are able to return three of their four 2019 All-Ivy honorees, including first-team singles and doubles honoree Brianna Shvets, and second-team singles honorees Grace Joyce and Stephanie Schrage.
