Princeton No. 12 in CWPA Varsity Preseason Poll

PRINCETON, N.J. – The Princeton Tigers were announced as the No. 12 team in the Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) Varsity Preseason Poll.
Harvard is the highest Northeast Water Polo Conference (NWPC) squad in the Varsity Poll at No. 11, but Princeton was ranked higher in the conference preseason tally. Those two squads faced off in the conference championship game last season.
The defending national champion, USC, is at the top of the Varsity Poll, followed by UCLA, Stanford, California, Pacific and Long Beach State.
Princeton opens the 2019 season at the Navy Invitational (Sept. 7-8). The Tigers begin vs. La Salle and UCLA before contests vs. Austin College and Stanford. Stanford was the 2018 national runner up while UCLA reached the national semifinals.
