Tigers Earn Split During Day Two of Princeton Invite

PRINCETON, N.J. – The No. 12 Princeton Tigers corralled a split during day two of the Princeton Invitational.
No. 12 Princeton 16, Johns Hopkins 8
Tied at 2-all, Princeton held Johns Hopkins without a goal for over 12 minutes in the first half, registering seven straight goals. The Tigers took a 10-3 lead at the intermission, scored the first three tallies of the second half to go ahead by double-digits and were not pushed the rest of the way.
Five different players for the Tigers had at least two goals while Antonio Knez made 10 saves in the victory.

The two top-15 squads were evenly matched in the first half with four ties. Bucknell held a 2-1 lead after eight minutes, but a Wyatt Benson goal with four seconds left in the half set the score at 5-all.
Bucknell registered the first two goals of the second half, but Cooper's goal at the 1:07 mark of the third quarter tied the meeting at 7-all again. The Bison, again, posted the first two tallies of the fourth quarter to jump in front for good before an insurance tally with 25 seconds remaining.
Princeton finishes the weekend with a battle vs. No. 15 George Washington tomorrow (3:30 p.m.). The game can be streamed on ESPN+.
