Tigers Wrap Fall-Opening Tournament at Duke

Improving its score from one round to the next, the Princeton men's golf team completed its first tournament of the fall season Sunday at Duke's Rod Myers Invitational.
Evan Quinn, who improved his score each round, finished as the top Tiger, tying for 44th overall at +10 after turning in a 1-under 71 in Sunday's final round.
Wake Forest, among the eight Golfstat top-100 teams in the field, used a final-round 7-under 281 to erase the six-stroke lead Duke had entering the day and finish at -22 for the weekend, three shots in front of Duke. UNCG's Jonathan Brightwell turned in a 5-under 67 to pull into the lead and win medalist honors at -11 for the weekend, one stroke better than Duke's Adrien Pendaries.
Princeton will compete next at Yale's MacDonald Cup, set for Sept. 28-29.
