No. 22 Women’s Swimming & Diving Set For Ivy Dual Against Columbia

PRINCETON, N.J. – The No. 22 Princeton University women's swimming & diving team will host Columbia University in a dual meet inside DeNunzio Pool on Saturday, January 25 at 12 p.m.
The Tigers are currently 6-1 on the season and 4-0 in Ivy League meets. In its most recent meet, Princeton overcame Villanova University 232-68 inside DeNunzio Pool on Friday, January 10.
The Tigers have had much success recently, as Katrin Lewis moved into the top-10 all-time on the 1-meter board in dual meets, as her score of 287.33 has her ranked ninth. At the Big Al Invitational, Princeton's final meet of 2019, the team of Ellie Marquardt, Nicole Venema, Amelia Liu and Christina Bradley set a new program record in the 400 freestyle relay with a time of 3:17.67 seconds.
Venema also qualified for the 2020 Olympic Trials in the 50 freestyle with a time of 25.99.
Nationally Ranked
The College Swimming & Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) announced its dual meet top-25 for January on Wednesday, January 22 and the Tigers checked in at No. 22. Princeton was the only Ivy League team inside the top-25 and the only program not from a power five conference.
Last Time They Met
Princeton and Columbia met last season on Friday, December 5, 2018 inside the Percy Uris Natatorium. The Lions came out on top with a final score of 160-140.
Scouting Columbia
The Lions are 2-2 in dual meets, most recently picking up a 164-136 victory over Cornell University on Sunday, January 12 inside the Percy Uris Natatorium.
In 2018-19, Columbia finished seventh at the Ivy League Championships with 701.5 points. The Lions also posted a 6-2 record in dual meets and 5-2 record in Ivy duals.
