No. 22 Women’s Swimming & Diving to Host HYP Meet

PRINCETON, N.J. – The No. 22 Princeton University women's swimming & diving team will host Harvard University and Yale University this weekend inside DeNunzio Pool in one of the most anticipated meets of the season.

Tiger Notes
Currently ranked No. 22 by the College Swimming & Diving Association (CSCAA), the Tigers are 7-1 overall and 5-0 in Ivy League meets. In its most recent meet, Princeton topped Columbia University 210-87 on Saturday, January 25 inside DeNunzio Pool, on a day that saw the Tigers win 13 out of 16 events.
The Tigers have had much success recently, as Katrin Lewis moved into the top-10 all-time on the 1-meter board in dual meets, as her score of 287.33 has her ranked ninth. At the Big Al Invitational, Princeton's final meet of 2019, the team of Ellie Marquardt, Nicole Venema, Amelia Liu and Christina Bradley set a new program record in the 400 freestyle relay with a time of 3:17.67 seconds.
Mimi Lin finished in first-place on the 1-meter board; her score of 308.70 was 0.3 points off the 22-year old program record in dual meets set by Danielle Stramandi in 1998. Venema also qualified for the 2020 Olympic Trials in the 50 freestyle with a time of 25.99.
Scouting Yale
The Bulldogs are a perfect 7-0 on the season and 4-0 in Ivy League meets. Most recently, Yale defeated Cornell 196-98 in New Haven Connecticut on Saturday, January 18.
Yale earned a second-place finish at the Ivy League Championships in 2018-19, scoring 1390.50 points.
Scouting Harvard
The Crimson is also undefeated in Ivy League meets, defeating the University of Pennsylvania 169-128 in its most recent meet.
In 2018-19 Harvard won the Ivy League Championship, accumulating 1500 points at the meet.

The Tigers will compete at the Ivy League Championships in Providence, Rhode Island, from Wednesday, February 19 until Saturday, February 22.
