Toronto Maple Leafs Trade For Max Véronneau '19

PRINCETON - An Original Six organization has acquired a former Princeton Tiger in advance of a National Hockey League playoff push as the Toronto Maple Leafs acquired Max Véronneau '19.

Véronneau was acquired from the Ottawa Senators in exchange for forward Aaron Luchuk and a conditional sixth round pick in 2021. Veronneau, 24, has appeared in four games for the Senators this season after recording two goals and two assists in 12 games with Ottawa in 2018-19. He has also skated in 33 games with the Belleville Senators in 2019-20, recording 10 points (5-5-10).

A 2018 Hobey Baker Nominee during an All-American season, Véronneau ended his Princeton career ranked No. 2 all-time in assists (81), No. 4 in points (144) and No, 12 in goals (31).

Véronneau is one of five former Tigers currently playing professional hockey in either the NHL or AHL. He joins teammates Eric Robinson '18 (Columbus Blue Jackets), Ryan Kuffner '19 (Detroit Red Wings/Grand Rapids Griffins) and Josh Teves '19 (Vancouver Canucks/Utica Comets) as well as 2011 graduate Taylor Fedun (Dallas Stars) in pro hockey.
