No. 11 Men's Volleyball Earns 3-1 Victory Over No. 15 George Mason

FAIRFAX, Va. – The No. 11 Princeton University men's volleyball team earned another valuable Eastern Intercollegiate Volleyball Association (EIVA) victory Saturday night, taking down No. 15 George Mason University 3-1 (25-21, 28-26, 23-25, 25-23).
The victory moved Princeton to 7-5 overall and 5-1 in EIVA play.
Sophomore Jerod Nelsen led the Tigers with a career and match-high 23 kills while also adding two service aces and six digs. Senior George Huhmann also made an impact as he recorded 16 kills, five blocks and three service aces. Junior Joe Kelly handed out a match-high 56 assists and also added six digs while freshmen Nico Posivak led the team in digs with nine.
While Princeton was able to take care of business in the first two sets, the Patriots battled back in the third. The fourth set was a back-and-forth battle throughout; with Prinecton up 19-17 a Nelsen kill followed by a pair of Huhmann service aces saw Princeton take a 22-17 lead. George Mason trimmed the lead to 22-20, but a pair of kills by Parker Dixon win the set 25-23 and the match.

The Tigers continue EIVA play on Friday, February 28 inside Dillon Gymnasium in EIVA matchup against Sacred Heart University.
